The Village of Ilion Board was presented a special award at its January 11, 2012 meeting from the volunteer Christmas in Ilion Committee. Annually the committee sponsors a tour of lights where individuals can vote for their favorite decorations in two categories: one for residential and the other for business. Individuals vote for their favorites at various locations throughout the village. This year the most votes for business decorations was received for the Village of Ilion. Mayor Stephens and the entire Village Board expressed their thanks not just to the committee but also to the residents who voted their appreciation for these new additions.
