Office hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Monday through Friday, except all major holidays.
To ALL Ilion water users:
As of today, the village water main project will be in the phase of opening and closing various valves throughout the system.
Starting immediately, and until further notice, due to this operation, there will be discolored water within the entire system at different times.
This is a blanket notice to everyone in the system that this will be occurring and to make sure you run your cold water before doing anything else, to clean the pipes to your residence or business, until further notice.
With the various sections of the village having valves operated, there is no way to determine what sections may or may not experience an issue.
Thank you.
Roads will be CLOSED during the work day, except to local traffic ONLY. Roads will re-open after work hours.
Some of this work is on-going or still planned and may be similar to, or a repeat of, last week's forecast.
Contract 3, RB Robinson, M-F 7-3:30
W River Dr, restoration, focused on sidewalk work, including at the Philip St intersection.
E River St, restoration, focused on sidewalk preparation for concrete. Pavement was mostly completed last week and will ease the traffic disruption in this area. Thank you to the residents and people using E River St for you caution and patience.
Lester Ave near View Terrace, preparation for paving. This will affect parking, please work with crews to be safe and make the process go faster.
Russell Park, tank site restoration AND final work on the recreation trail (Ridge Trail). The trail will have bull dozer activity to re-grade for settling, and then grass seed. This seed is going to need time to grow in the shade, and will likely give way to forest floor over time. Please give it a chance into the summer time by staying off of the planted area. By the next school year, this trail will be re-opened for full use, as well as the soccer fields at the top!
Paving started last week and will continue as preparation and weather permit. Caution: Driving across warm pavement before crews open the roads will likely leave permanent depressions and a bumpy ride—be patient, please.
Topsoil and seed will be done at a later time this year.
Contract 4, Peter Luizzi & Bros, M-F, 7-5
N Fourth St, water service transfers are planned in the upcoming weeks. Water will be interrupted during transfers.
Second Ave, testing pipe.
Rand St, installing pipe.
Restoration work will be done in various small areas, and may include work areas from last year for improvements. Much of this is topsoil and seed in areas that have settled, or had winter damage. Please give it a chance to grow a bit before walking on or mowing.Click Here to view the Press Release: Drinking Water Notice.
